Man oh man. Go look at that bath room lockset. See that little hole in the outside knob. Yea I would post a picture but I believe you can find it. Now go get a paper clip straighten the long leg out. Open the door just so you do not get locked in or out. Now lock the door. Push that straightened end of that paper clip in the little hole in that out side knob. Presto the door should now be unlocked.
Now don't you feel just a little silly for kick that door in and busting your foot on it?

House was built in the 30's and had the glass door knob and locks with real keys and inner lock was a flip lever like a deadbolt... so a no go on the paper clip trick...

Have worked on a few of those. Called box locks.
