Putting my dash together and I do not know what the tab and wire clip attach to on the duct. The car did not have the defrost duct when I got it,so I might be missing a support from the dash. The manual shows something the wire clip fastens to but it is missing. What amI missing?? Thanks. POPS

there is a 2 piece metal support
one piece goes to the dash frame top and bottom it is nut and bolted on both ends
and the 2nd piece is bolted to the middle of the first support
and it then goes to the duct
the clip you mention goes in a hole in the 2nd support.
your car must be nickle and dime ing you to death!

YEP !!! Missing lot's of small stuff for sure.So now once again the hunt begins!!! (lol) Thanks again for the help. POPS

I agree. I have sold Pops some these parts but you have to add shipping....I would rather be able put in one big box and ship but like he said he doesn't know everything he needs and always finds more missing... It's why I bought a whole running driving 71 road runner as a map. Mine has been apart 7 years now...

I fully know the pain Pops is going thru and i have also sold him parts
there are too many unique one year only small parts that go onto one of these cars
that many people are not aware of.

one of my runners was a stripped out/gutted shell with a fender tag and dash frame/vin thrown in it when i got it.
no rear,no front suspension just a empty shell
i was just going to hack it up for another 71 runner i have that needed some donor metal
until i found a complete unmolested 90k 71 sat on craigslist that had some rot issues of its own.
but that only got me most of the way there with parts.
no way would i ever try to piece a 71 b together any other way without
some kind of parts cars to harvest from.

someone was telling me a bill came in
for a 71 GTX restoration and it was for over 6 figures
and i can believe it if you were paying for labor and parts on a basket case.
