I was sorting through some floor mounted dimmer switch grommets I have received with 1970-71 E-body and 1974 B-body replacement carpet. I do not remember my 71 Challenger, which I bought in 1972, having a grommet around the dimmer switch and I didn't put one in when I replaced the carpet around 1984. I'm sure I would have installed it if the original carpet had a grommet at the switch. I have read here where many state the later B-bodies did not have the grommet. I don't remember if my 74 Charger had the grommet in the original carpet. I've also read where the E-bodies did not have the grommet. I came across a Mopar grommet that I didn't realize I had today and thought I'd share it here and get some thoughts on it. It is larger than the reproduction grommets they send now. Here are some photos.

Certainly dont know....only thing i can add is thats any early ( like mid 60s ) part number, and an OLD mopar logo.
**EDIT** I do see a page in the '65 parts book stating the use of the part number above on full size Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler and Imperial. However, NO grommet is shown for Belvedere, Coronet, Dart or Valiant.

My memory has been jogged. At least 35 years ago, I parted out a C-body, between a 66 and a 69. That must be where it came from. It's the only part I have from that C-body. Thanks.
