My 1969 Coronet only has one hole at the top right that looks like it is for a glove box light switch; no smaller holes for a bumper.

Do 69 Coronets have a glove box rubber bumper? Or, does the door stop against the light switch or the latch?

I'm puzzled because they sell rubber bumpers for the 69 Coronets.

Here's my standard frame with an arrow pointing to the only hole near the glove box.

If you have a photo of a 68-69 standard dash with a glove box bumper please upload a photo.

Thanks FBBO.

Hey Roger, what'cha up to with the interior. Looks like you got that dash torn up pretty good - those upper dash pads are a PITA to remove in-car.

And your raise a good question, I don't have an answer 'cause my dash is in about the same state as yours, but I'm curious to what other FBBO members have to say.

They all have glove box rubber bumpers - this keeps the lid from rattling.

That's an old photo when I was redoing the dash. My dash has been back together for a while now.

Patrick, can you point out where in the photo the bumper goes, please? I found a glove box lamp on eBay and a lens that goes in the carboard box but nothing that shows where the bumper goes.

My glove box light switch serves as my bumper. No other location for bumpers...69 b body

I think the '69 glove box door has the bumper on the door itself and not the dash. This is how the factory kept the door from rattling as you drove.

No holes in door either. It doesn't rattle now but I just wish I knew where the bumper went.

It's been awhile since I dug around in a '69 Mopar. I'd think there would be something to keep the lid from rattling while closed.

themechanic,
That hole on the right side (where you placed the arrow) is for the glove box light switch. There are no rubber bumpers for the glove box door. But, if you look on the backside of the glove box door you'll see several areas that have a rubber like coating. That coating provides cushion between the door and the dash. At least that's the case with my '68 and '69 Coronets.

I was able to glean that from FBBO and the interweb, but thanks.

I found two styles of rubber bumpers for the 69 Coronet. So, I was wondering where they might go.

You've piqued my curiosity. Do you have a photo image of these rubber bumpers you're talking about, or a site that markets them?

The only small rubber bumpers that come to mind on a 69 Coronet would be the ones that the back of/and underside on the hood rest on, and the ones that go on the front and rear bumpers for the license plates to cushion against.

I recognize those, my '70 Charger has them, but not the Coronets. I question their info.
