Hey everyone, just been working a lot and just got back from vacation cruise.

Before we left this time we did RPDE at Daytona again, 167mph this time, 20 laps, the instructor kept looking over and adjusting the cars power, since I had done it before I was going full out, I think he was trying to keep me under 170mph.

We went to Don Garlits museum in Ocala too. That place is incredible, all the cars we watched race growing up are there, Connie's Bounty Hunter, Jungle Jims car, The Blue Max, Snake and Mongoose cars, all the Swamp Rats, The Sidewinder and the Wynns Liner, Shirleys 1982 car and the Last Pass car.

He has a 300 or so classic car museum, I didn't know he was into Fords too, He has a Granatelli Dodge with a Paxton supercharger on it, and other stuff.

He has a Engine room with a ton of stuff, Smokey Yunick tuned stuff, more blown Hemis I have ever seen in one place and 2 SOHC 427s, One in a case and the other in one of Katillas Bounty Hunters. Flatheads everywhere and a whole wall of flat head intake set ups. And in one corner a ton of intakes induction stuff.

We stayed in Daytona Beach, only a few blocks from where Smokey Yunick's shop was, but there is nothing left of it.

very cool, but why is this in the welcome wagon ??

We were there in November of 2011 and the central Florida Mopar Association was having there annual show there at the same time. The museum is an awesome place to see,all the memories of watching Big Daddy all those years. He was there that day and signed a picture for me,hanging on the wall in my office, one of my prize possessions

I was there in 1985 & it sounds like it's time to revisit the place again.

I haven't been back there to the museum since 1997-ish, I need to go again

That place is amazing. Big Daddy is usually there too. I got to meet his sidekick Lemons before he passed away when I visited there about 5 years back. He was really cool.

Anyone that even remotely likes drag racing and cars in general should go there.

Buy his book and ask if he is around to sign it... He has a garage off to the side where he 'tinkers'.

my dad an mom stopped there an said it was awesome, they had to rub it in cause im here in cold illinois.

That would be the place to see. I bet he has as much fascinating stuff hidden away in the other buildings as he has on display in the museum. We were there in '09. It's a lot to take in!

WOW! great place to visit. been there a couple of times. notice more each time I go! there is a lot of great history there.
