Donald Stratton passed away a few days ago. He was one of the last three survivors of the USS. Arizona. He was burned over 60% of his body, yet climbed hand over hand by rope to the USS.Vestal. He was an author of two books about his experience . He was 97.

He actually died a couple of weeks ago, it was posted.
I had just finished his book about his experience at Pearl Harbor... I recommend it highly....He was the real deal.....RIP Mr Stratton.
