Don't F with American Muscle

Kern Dog is right, a 2.76 diff is good for at least 160. My uncle was once a VT State Trooper; he had friends. One night, we went out on I-89 with a couple ex-cruisers. My '74 Polara reached 152. His '73 Sport Fury hit 161.
A 2.76 would be good for 328 MPH in my hemi bird assuming 7500rpm and a tail wind.

One time and never again buried the 150 speedo and felt I was going to die as the car was airborn or really light and scary
That 8 1/4 rear end with 2.76 gears did not last long
replaced with 9 1/4 with 3.21
That was 40 years ago when I was still foolish
One of these days my 73 SSB will be on road again
