Any suggestions on what if anything I can do to repair this? It is original (not to my car) and the other 3 are great driver quality i would prefer not to get a repop.
Ok I will take some measurements and see after I try PurpleBeepers advice and try and glue and soften the vinyl!I'd glue the flap and use a band saw to cut just enough off the top so the rest is hidden under the stainless trim. Looks like about 3/16 and should allow the crank handle hole and armrest screws to still work as is.
What moisture cure poly did you use? Do you have post work pictures?I just did this with “decent” results. I used a 1-component moisture cure polyurethane and some hardware store wood clamps. I think you could soften the vinyl VERY CAREFULLY with a heat gun (???)
