There's already a thread regarding cheap disposables, let's talk timeless quality!
My ten box of Mercur/Rostfrei blades has lasted over two years! (It'll be three this Christmas)
Badger medium brush and some local hipster brand of soap. The biggest deal for me is the shave oil. I've developed my own blend of pure coconut oil, olive oil and essential citrus (orange) which has dramatically improved the closeness and overall enjoyment of this shaving experience.

Tell us your secrets.

Figured it was a continuation of the other...

the ol' throat slitters work well...
but so did the ol' straight edge razors too...

No thanks though...LOL

funny they call em' safety razors,
it's like calling a bald guy Curley or Harry...LOL

I have shed a lot of blood to those "safety" razors (though not recently). I suspect "safety" was in comparison to it's predecessor, the straight razor.

I've yet to have a problem with nics and my skin is much less irritated after shaving when compared to my old electric and disposable razors.
I just find the safety razor superior in every way.
