Hey guys names Richard I live in Pipe Creek Texas.

I recently acquired my first muscle car and luckily its MOPAR!!! I have a 1966 Dodge Charger with a 383 Big Block and 727 Automatic that I'm hoping to build up to cruise in and have fun at the track.
This really is unbelievable for me as I'm 21 and I thought I would have to just make do with just hearing my grandfather talk about the Good Ole Days of American Muscle Cars.

It's pretty cool that back in the day he owned a 66' charger with a 361 and he later traded it for a super bee with a 383. So he has a actual connection with my car and I have access to his first hand insights.

I joined the forum to get to meet other mopar fans and to hopefully learn more and get my car running.

I would like to start off by asking how hard it would be to get my car to run 13s in the quarter or faster and still drive it on a some what daily basis?

Hope to here from yall.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! So the car is currently not running? Is it safe to assume that the engine needs to be rebuilt? It won't be too difficult to get your car into the 13s but we'll need a lot more info to start you in that direction. Post up some pics.

Congratulations, I just got my 1966 Charger a few months ago, But I had to wait 31 years longer than you did. It shouldn't be too hard to get this car into the 13's with some well thought out modifications. The 383 can make some good power and the basic bolt ons and a good set of gears should get you where you want to be and still be streetable.Good luck with your build!

Welcome to the site young man. Its good to see some young guns coming on board. !3's will be no problem. Just start asking questions and I'm sure you will get your answers.

Welcome and good luck with that project!
