Parts were filmed here in Sonora too, the store they robbed,
& the truck scene, IIRC the car/Impala keys in the trash etc. was all filmed here...
The scene he picked up Larry @ Mary's/her grandpas house...
I think just outside of Groveland for the barn, where they fixed the Impala...
Oakdale area too, driving thru a bunch of scenes...

Don't quote me thou...

They use to do allot of cowboy stuff filmed here in Jamestown area too...

Roddy McDowell has a real cameo - not a mention at all in any credits or in the IMBD....unlike a lot of recent 'cameo's' :icon_thumright:

I thought it was pretty funny when they wrecked the camaro at the end of the original Vanishing point.
 
Mar, no problemo here Bro, i saw both movies together......Barry Newman fm VP did other movie called Fear is the Key, init he drives a 73 torino gt, 351, 4 spd, same car for all chase footage, jumped it onto a departing garbage barge off a pier, when car landed w nose pitched down @ steep angle, you can watch lower door gaps open WIDE & up top fenders overlapped the doors, kink z@ cowl was so severe, that was early in movie, rest of movie was in bent car. Was watching trlrs yesterday of Charlie Bronson's lo budge mr majestyk,and the ensuing ford commercial, made from movie clips, pretty bitchen endorsement for fomoco, the 68 250 pu was bought from car lot for 1500 dollars, whole movie filmed on it, just Brutalized that bitch, then sold truck.....for 1500 dollars.
