I bought a pair of dust shields as I am rebuilding the front end on my car. I see in my service manual it calls for a teflon seal that goes on first before you tighten down the dust shield. I have looked online to buy a pair of shield seals with no luck.

Any suggestions? You would think a pair of seal would come with the dust shields when you buy them.

Thanks in advance.

Check Detroit Muscle Technologies I think they have them.

Why use the dust shields? They trap heat and debris. But if doing a correct resto, I can see using them.

I didn't see the dust shields on DMT but will call them today. I have started my assembly without them but thought I'd ask. I have purchased new dust shields, which has a white foam insert, paper thin, in the center, which at first I thought was the seal. But according to the service manual it has a teflon seal that goes on first, which I recall was on there when I removed the originals. I appreciate all of the comments and will post my results. Thanks.
