Hows it going kiwi
Doing fine here thanks....I did not feel the quake, although my elder son was woken by it. I had to get him up early for work anyway

Thousands of people flocked to the beaches for a look, and of course plenty of idiots took to the waves on the boards, or kite-surfers.

Thanks for asking guys....I even had a private message from a member here I haven't even had a chance to get to know yet.

I think the highest waves were only about 2 feet....but the surge from the sea can travel quite a distance. Many coastal boat harbours were rocking around a bit. :)

And to answer the quip from @dadsbee ... I will be going out to change the plugs on my A100 shortly, ready to pound the pavements and burn rubber. That job takes a while due to having to remove seats, engine cowl panels, and use the hoist etc....a real PITA. Pictures to follow. :D

But look at all the room you have afterwards to work with! Oh wait, you probably don't have a /6?

After doing your burn out watch the news to see if you set off any Richter Scales. You'll have NZ evacuating!

I hope there is no looting going on? Your woman leader took all your guns away so you can't protect yourselves....
