What do you guys eat for this festive weekend?

Our local bakery makes the best Hot Cross buns in the country....I got my hands on a few as they came out the oven.

I generally eat (Anything) cooked by someone else, LOL. This year I will be celebrating big time by eating a sandwich at work!

Lamb and ham ! My mom made my grandfather lamb every year till he passed . I had to file a complaint but got lamb back on menu!

A Traditional Polish Menu, Fresh & Smoked Sausage, Ham, Hard Boiled Eggs, Rye Bread, Horseradish, All combined at the Table, with a Broth from cooking the sausage, and seasoned, Borscht. Some add Beats to the broth. Inshould add, All the Food is taken to Church on Saturday, for the Traditional Basket Blessing. One bowl does me in now, not like the Old Days...

not sure this year

we'll have to see

I'm an empty nester, just me & dad :praying:

If it's at my place, I still don't know

we almost always do chips & dips,
I make a great clam/garlic dip,
I make a pretty good spinach dip in a carved out round
loaf of sour french bread
usually a deli plate, cheese & crackers
boose/beer for the adults, tea or sodas for the lil' un...

younger kids/grandkids, younger neices & nephews etc.
get on the ice cream maker, we/they  do homemade ice cream
when it's at my Aunts place, she goes all out

I personally like fish, lobster or crab, main dish
I usually get talked into a BBQ or cooking a Ham

Sweet Potatoes/pineapple w/marshmellows
or mashed potatoes & gravy,
macaroni or potato salad, 3 bean salad
&/or Green Bean Casorole
french bread with garlic butter, sweet rolls, crescent rolls
or my great sweet cornbread

my Aunt usually does the pies (I suck at it)
my favorite is Lemon Meringue, apple or any berry pies
or she does a killer
cheesecake, yum' I love chocolate with a graham cracker crust

Sometimes my Aunt will do her homemade ravioli
usually combined when we have the Lobster &/or Salmon &/or Crab

Sometimes she'll do a standing rib roast or just reg. prime rib

we've been known to do a big spaghetti, pasta of some sort
& sausage/onion red/gravy or italian feast too
she lived in Italy for a few years, she is great at it
(we're German/Norwegian mostly)

sometimes almost all the above too
depends on who's coming & how many

since everyone is grown up its hit or miss now
different families, go different directions
