The summer of 2009, I spent an afternoon in Tangier, Morocco, had lunch and purchased a "magic carpet" for $200.00 USD. There were no prices on the merchandise so I don't know if it was worth $200 bucks or $20 bucks. Regardless, have not been able to get it off the ground yet.

American English uses a lot of inflections. Foreigners are taught how to say the words but not how to put them together.
