I know it's been discussed before but, damn, there's lots of empty seats at Indy. Poor management at NASCAR, OBVIOUS favoritism of certain owners & manufacturers are coming back to bite them in the ***. Maybe ticket prices will come down now.

Expense of tickets food beverages etc. costs a family of 4
probably $400 too attend, more if they splurge on swag too...

Infield is that place to be anyway...LOL

i don't know anybody around here who follows nascar anymore. i know two people who do the nhra bracket racing thing. most folks i know don't give a hoot about organized racing anymore. toyota funny cars and nascar chevies; i'd rather scoop dog poop than watch.

It is the fault of Nascar! make every car look the same, take the wild out of it. Bring back drivers and fierce competition. I can't get excited over a Toyota in the field. Far too expensive and it just reflects what people have to spend these days.

I'm not a devout NASCAR guy, I'm a drag racer, my whole adult life
but was into USAC Sprints too, long time ago...
But have kept up with NASCAR, Cup crap, since I was about 7-8-9,
Some Truck series stuff recently, not much else in roundy round...

Back in "The Kings" hayday, Plymouth & Dodge ruled...
I loved it...

I rarely watch a whole race since Dodge pulled out... Snore !!
But it's racing & I'm in a pick em' game, so I keep up somewhat...

I won't attend a race probably any time in the near future,
use to go to Sear Point every year, the road course is cool,
my step day would take US to Riverside too, many moons ago,
Ontario IIRC too...

Maybe after ol' Pops is gone, I'll go to Talladega,
Maybe July in Daytona...
Haven't been there it's on my bucket list...

I certainly don't hate it, it's just not my "cup of tea" so to speak anymore...

I'm a racing & car junky, if it goes fast I like it...

I might be interested if NASCAR were about racing stock cars.
If that's too boring, then the solution is more exciting cars.

Back when I got my 66, others my age who were into brand x put it down, and I just told them if that car was good enough for Richard Petty it was good enough for me.

I live 6 blocks from the track. This track is just to damn long for Nascar. I did go to the very first one in 94? Gordon won it. It got boring very fast. When they are all grouped together, it was loud and cool. Once they break free, it is just a bore. I do like Nascar on the road courses, but I like road courses period. Never been back. As far as tickets go, I think the price is fair, when you compare it to other sporting events.

One thing that is coming to the track is the Red Bull Air Show. I will be there for that one. Looks like the seating will be in a great place.

Haven't watched NASCAR since the early 80's. Too much drama, and not enough real racing.

No wonder they are wrecking. They're on the wrong side of the car.

and there upside down too , you just cant tell because the camera is to

Both NASCAR and NHRA have worked hard on the rules to make all the cars equal. It seems to me that making all the cars equal defeats the purpose of having a race. NASCAR removed 40,000 seats from Charlotte and Daytona and still they can't fill the place.

NAPCAR has become very boring, other than the 2 road races which I prefer.
IMSA, F1, Le Mans, WorldRally championship and pretty much any international road course racing I find much more interesting.
I go to Daytona for the yearly Turkey run.
