I have a block that needs a couple sleeves
and the machine shop said they will use
chrome moly alloy sleeves. Are these good
sleeves to use or are there better alloys to use? this will be a street gen 2 hemi 600+ HP 4.15 stroke.

grey iron. chrome moly is hard, maybe hard for rings to seat.my 2 cents

Yeah, Never heard of Chrome Moly being sleeve material. Not compatible with pistons or rings.
You can buy engine sleeves from L.A. Sleeve. I'd do my homework on what material to use. Sounds
like whoever you talked to doesn't know Jack!

Yes my thoughts exactly I told them I would be supplying the sleeves. I know enough about them to think that ductile iron would be the best.

get watever LA sleeve recommends
ductile ost likely
chrome molly
I don't think so
maybe aircraft or chrome rings
