OMG now what? I put my 69 runner in the shop because I had a small exhaust manifold leak on the drivers side. When the most aft bolt was removed water came out. Can some please tell me WTF is that from?

Also on the left exhaust manifold there is a little pipe near where the exhaust pipe connects to the exhaust manifold (with a counter sunk nut on )(no idea what it is) There is a leak there and I guess it need a gasket or how is it sealed?

I need a good 440 engine manual.

PS - The never ran hot or consumed any water in 5 months.

Yes Wile E is correct the studs/bolts (recommend all studs) go through the water passages on some. You need a thread sealer on those when they are put back on i.e. liquid teflon or teflon tape etc or they will leak.

The long nuts are also normal

A factory service manual is an excellent investment. They are available for download but also handy to have a reproduction or original for easy ref in the garage or at the shop. I don't have the linky handy but someone will post it I'm sure

Use pipe dope on all big block manifold bolts(should be studs on exhaust). Intake and exhaust.

Yep, found the sleeve nut at Year One. PN FR3388. I got the stainless version. Little pricy!

Be sure to use anti seize on it. Stainless will readily seize to a steel stud without it.
