do they ever have factory appearing stock tire races on the west coast??

I sure wish they would. Did a few F.A.S.T. guys come out to MATS in Vegas some years back, IIRC? I'm kinda surprised that series didn't catch on out here.

F.A.S.T. is based out of the Detroit area. In the North East Ralph in Conn. broke off and started his own called http://supercarraces.com/vision.html .I have gone to the track with them on numerous occations. They are a GREAT bunch of people and I'm happy to call them friends!!

Someone out there needs to start with a group of people. You can use the FAST rules to start out and loosen if need be to get the car count up.

What I think would be really cool would be a F.A.S.T. type of series but all of the cars would have to have a day-two look with aftermarket wheels and a certain amount of period-correct aftermarket parts allowed. The kind of stuff everyone did to their car back then like basics bolt-ons like headers, intake, carb, cam. But they would still have to look like '60s and '70s street machine boulevard cruisers. Extra style points for having things like 8 tracks. No modern-looking aftermarket aluminum cylinder heads would be allowed but if they could be painted to look like stock like Stealths that would be permitted.

Imagine seeing something that looks like something cruising mainstreet back in the '70s laying down a high 9 second to low 10 second pass with Keystone Klassics and N50s or L60s?
