The factory OE tach works fine if the standard "points type" ignition system...
If upgraded to an electronic aftermarket like Mopar or MSD or Pertonix, it may indicate RPM but will be highly inaccurate..

Just my $0.02...

Is the MSD adapter needed with the reproduction tachs also? If so, part #?

Thanks

There are 2 different aftermarket repro tic-toc-tachs, the oer one from classic and one from charger specialties. The oer one will need the adapter, the other one has the upgraded circuit board to work electronic ignition.

I wondered about that. Clicked on their website and got an alarm for a scam/attack page.

Yeah same here. Didn’t know they were not in business anymore.
