A few days ago, a hot one, i went into yard to take a leak, & during it a humming bird landed on the ground about 2 feet away & just sat there looking at me with His wings outstretched & umbrellad, just taking a breather & a couple minutes later giving me a nod, took off.

Doesn't that bird know pisser etiquette? Everyone knows when standing next to a guy peeing you look blankly at the wall in front of you . . .

Go out into the yard to take a leak....what if it's raining? Man, what you really need is a window at waste level.

We have quite a few around here, have a feeder outside the kitchen window and they hit it pretty regularly.
There are a couple of bright emerald green ones, when the sun hits them the color really comes alive.

I pee outside more often than not....... it drives the old lady crazy

They are the only bird that can fly in any direction.
I love the noise their fast beating wings make.. zzzzzzzzz-zzzzzz!
They are an important pollinators as well

Sure you're not from Pennsylvania?
The house has got plumbing,,really. Yeah, if i'm working out back, the yard is easier than going into house & wasting a flush on a piss.

It's communing with Nature. :)

They are very cool. 5 or 6 weeks ago our cat came to the back sliding door and could tell by the "meow" that she used that she had caught something and it was a hummingbird. I know she's a really good hunter but that surprised me.
