will 73 charger fenders work for a 71? I know the side marker lights are different but I don't see y they wont fit the interchange book doesn't say they will or wont work

Incorrect ..... The body lines are the same.
I documented this with pictures several years ago.
The wheel openings are different. The 73/74 is cut higher.
Also, the front structure that the headlight buckets mount to is different.
If you put a 73 fender on a 71, there will be a gap visible around the front core support area .
Also, one fender bolt hole on the top will not line up.

ok then thanks cause the lines do look the same but I didn't notice the wheel open being higher

as stated, phisically fits and matches with body but as stated, some differences...

won't match the radiator core support area, so won't be able to bolt it there.

Diff front valance shield

wheel opening diff ( won't be able to fit correct molds ), 73/74 around 1.5" higher cut

unmatch inner fender bolt hole ( but thats easy to solve )

NOW... if you have the 71 fender, could you remove the inners and fit weld them on the 73 ? maybe doable.
