Fender mounted turn signal behavior

Got a gremlin it seems. Every now and then, my driver side fender mounted signal will glow slightly when I turn on my lights.

All
Lights are working(Running lights, turn lamps, headlights, brake lights)

I’ve checked the connection but everything seems in order.

Doesn’t always happen and it works as it should when I use my turn signal.

Any thoughts?

I would check that, that particular fender mounted turn signal is mounted correctly and the attaching hardware is to bare metal. Not over undercoating or thick paint. The fender is the ground for it.

Check the housing and socket for corrosion.

The ground problem is somewhere in the system and it finding a ground at the turn signal indicator. Each lamp housing is grounded at the mounting to the car body so make sure it's clean and not rusted, or a heavy coating of paint there.

slim chance the fender isnt grounded to the body well...... especially if it has been replaced....... paint, rust, and corroded body clips are not good conductors....... in a perfect world, fenders with t/s would get a braided ground strap to the body

It can still happen if you want to add one.

I’d say the parking light socket could be some loosen from the housing and the fender turning light is providing that ground throught its filament up to fender.

If you remove the fender light bulb maybe could also find the parking light dimming a bit. Specially when blinking
