As I've mentioned on other strings, the first time I saw my all-time favorite cars (73/74 Road Runners) was at Monroeville Chrysler/Plymouth, right across RT 22 from Monroeville Mall where the original Dawn of the Dead was filmed. Although my current car wasn't sold there, I've been looking for memorabilia from that dealership, like a trunk badge, to put on my car.
Thanks to eBay, I scored something for my car! An original NOS leather key ring for the dealership. Now my Road Runner keys can be attached to a key ring that is truly worthy of them. Best of all, based on the absence of an area code, that would date the key ring to the late 1970s or older since adding the area code to numbers in advertising didn't come into fashion until the AT&T divestiture in 1984.
It's a small thing to be sure, but progress is progress.
