anyone know where to get flywheel dust cover for b.b. 727 torquflite

Which do you want, a flywheel cover for a 4 speed or flexplate cover for an automatic?

I’ve got one for an automatic. Let me if ya need it.

My mistake, I have an auto flex plate. The covers for auto are all metal.

Both my 727s are missing the covers. I asked around once why I rarely see them and the response was its better for cooling when they are off.

Should the covers be in place?

They keep road debris from being able to get in there and make your day really crappy.

No. It’s like a front disc brake shield, it’s there to keep stuff off the rotor, but disc’s get hot, so I don’t use them.

Get a cover, use it. The first time you don’t have to spend a half day cutting out a rag that you ran over on the freeway, will be worth it.
