A little story about that car. Frederick Dodge (Was.. Did't make the cut last year) a local Dodge dealer.
A guy who lived about two miles as the crow flys from where I grew up found that car in a barn with the the windshield out of it back in the early 80's. He paid like $700.00 for it, including all the aluminum. He raced it through the mid 80's only to sell it when the market went way up in the late 80's. I think he sold it for something like $50,000.00. A guy who lives south of Younstown owns that car and also the Stahl ca now, he put it back to the Frederick colors and now is showing it. It was at the Hemi Reunioin at Quaker City.

Yes the car was originally purchased from Chrysler by Bob Frederick Sr. and driven by Kenny Tobin and wrenched on by Bill Zeisler, both who worked at Bob's Dealership in Canfield. A lot of Mopar musclecars rolled out of Bob's dealership for many years right thru the end. As well as Musclecar parts, as parts manager, and later with Bobby Jr.(15yrs old) working with me and actually supplying Year One in the beginning, which still uses the code system Bobby and I developed, in their parts book "FD" meant Frederick Dodge. Bob also had a Factory 63 S/S Dodge also which survives to this day.

The 64 later ended up in the hands of a local racer, Ben who raced it as the "Hustlin Hemi" at Quaker & Meander for years with the Hemi built and maintained by Carlon Hine of Hine Motors who owned and raced the Chargin Hemi (Black 69 Charger), Haulin Hemi (Black 68 69 Road Runner) & Honkin Hemi(Blue & White 65 S/S Belvedere) of Kinsman Ohio.

Many of the local dealers sold an above average amount of musclecars in this area as it was at the time a thriving steel town and times WERE good!

Awesome pics and history... Thanks for posting those.
