This 440 was built for a project car 2 years ago and I have since decided not to do the project. Great pump gas build. Machining performed at Champion Performance in Centerline, MI.
1971 G440 Block .040 Over
Forged Aluminum Speed Pro ZL2355F40 Pistons (modern version of the TRW 6-pack pistons)
LY Rods, resized and fitted with ARP bolts
Hastings File Fit Moly Rings
Forged Crank
Federal Mogul Bearings Std/Std
Mancini Racing Billet Rear Main Seal retainer
Competition Cams 270H Camshaft and Lifters (Very Close to 6-Pack grind)
906 heads – mildly ported, 88cc measured, dual springs, Teflon stem seals
1970 stock valve covers/breather
Edelbrock Performer Intake
Fresh Rebuilt Edelbrock 800 CFM carb
Procomp Electronic Distributor
Fel-Pro and Super Performance gaskets/seals throughout
Pump Gas build measured out at 9.34:1 CR. Champion Performance cleaned and inspected the block, installed new core plugs, torque plate honed the block to spec for the Speed Pro Pistons, installed new cam bearings, fit the remanufactured rods to the new pistons, performed a full performance balance of the pistons/rods/crank, and more.
New 440 Source alternator brackets and alternator & p/s fastener kits.
Oval Air Cleaner assembly, alternator and power steering pump not included.
Engine has never been fired. Ready to drop in your project and run.
