Dual master cylinder front brakes reservoir? Is it the rear or the front that controls the front brakes?

Generally the rear but always the larger of the two fluid chambers.
You could drive yourself crazy trying to figure out the larger one on a drum brake!

The larger reservoir will always be for the disc brake axle.
The smaller is for drum brake applications.
Why ?
Because of fluid displacement when braking.
wheel cylinder average size diameter is 1" + or -
Disc brake caliper piston diameter, average is " approx. 2" for a single piston caliper.
So when braking you need more fluid capacity ro the disc caliper piston.
