So I'm putting the front suspension together for my 70 Coronet R/T. Doing it on the k-member attached to the engine as an assembly and then wheel the whole deal under the car. Here's my stumbling block. I can't get the knuckles to get close to alignment. The drivers side is fine with plenty of adjustment left on the tie-rods on that side. On the passenger side it's a cluster. By the time I get the knuckle pointed straight ahead, there is not enough room for the tie-rods. I've got them adjusted all the way in and it really isn't good enough. I started by making sure the steering box was centered and that the pitman are was in the middle of it's travel. The idler arm is in a pretty much Nuetral position. When I bought this car it was apart and a new front suspension kit was included with the car. Is it possible that the pitman are is for another car i.e. C-body?? Since its all after-market (Moog type stuff) and there are no Mopar part numbers, how do I check?

If it came in boxes....look up the numbers. I've got c-body tie-rod ends on my `cuda.

Got some pictures? The suspension does look kinda weird when under no load - and it can appear out of whack.
This is how mine looked the last time I had my engine out for some minor work;

I leave the A arms attached along with the shocks. Disconnect the tie rods and sway bar plus the front strut rods.
No need to disconnect more than is necessary. :thumbsup:

Adjustment for the tie-rods is usually about half the threads showing.
If threaded all the way in, still not right, sounds like the tie-rods are too long. Wrong part numbers?
