So a pretty well off man walks into a high end consignment store in Georgetown. A sales associate asks if he's looking for anything particular and the man replies "I'll know it when I see it". After about an hour of looking at different pieces he asks the sales associate about this 18" long golden rat in the glass cabinet.
The salesman responds its $150.00 for the rat or its $250.00 for the rat and the back story.
The man delighted with the price says "I don't need the story but I will take the rat".
It is wrapped up and the man happily leaves the store. As he walks a couple blocks down the street he hears a commotion behind him...He turns around to see about 10 large rats running around it the street.
That's weird contemplates the man as he continues walking down Wisconsin Avenue. A couple blocks later the commotion is much greater and as he turns to look there are now hundreds of large rats running on the sidewalks and in the street following him. As he approaches M street they are getting closer and he is beginning to get scared so he starts to run. He runs to the waters edge and throws the Golden rat into the Potomac...He watches as all the rats run down the street and leap into the Potomac and die.
The man is livid he just lost $150.00 and goes back to the store. As he walks in the sales associate laughs and said "I knew you would be back for the story". The man replies..."Story Hell...I want to know if you have any golden
Democrats"...
