Can someone please supply me with the dimensions and shape of the original 71-74 B-body gas tank pad so I can make my own out of tar paper (I already have), which I understand the originals were made out of? The pictures I've seen of this show a rectangle with the material cut into a fringe with strips about 2" wide. I'm guessing the rectangle needs to be the size of the top of the gas tank, but it would be nice to make it as close to original as possible. I just can't see spending $20-30 for something I can easily make for free in less than an hour.
