Just wanted to post a couple pics of my project. Have been slowing down on it and losing some motivation for some reason. Might be the task of trying to do this and race the duster and play with and race my 2010 Challenger. Anyway, I just got the front end back under it after, blasting, painting, all new ball joints, bushings and everything else.

1st pic was the way I got it from my dad. in its day, it was tough looking. The body and everything else were in much worse shape then these pics would leave one to believe.

Still need to do brakes, run some fuel line and some other odds and ends and oustide of that it just need motor and trans. LOL just those two little things. Just took block to machine shop so I will be getting that under way. Will be sporting a 493CI RB motor.

Yes, I know it has the RR stripe and it is a Satellite. Not trying to sale anyone a RR. Needless to say I have had two separate encounters with folks stopping to look at it and then proceed to tell me it was wrong for me to do that. Whatever, "please leave my driveway NOW" LOL

Getting it washed and waxed today remotivated me to get it moving.

Sorry if this should have been posted elsewhere. Please move it MODS if so.

That's a sharp looking ride!

Looks great!

I even like the stripe that was on it!

I like it, even the original ('cept the tints).

Who cares if its a Satty? I can see from the pics that you have two shifters... clearly this isnt some concours resto that you are pawning off to some fool as a $75000 Road Runner. Its your car, so who cares?

That car looks sweet! I love the look both ways, it looks awsome. Keep pluging away on her you will get there.

Thanks so much guys. I got this from him in 2004 with intentions of just getting it back to driving status and then I said, lets do a decent job. Well, it isn't concourse by any means, but it has recieved a lot more attention $$$$ and time than I ever imagined. It sat outside for a year torn apart while in Iraq and being in the military it has moved with me twice. If there is another move, I would like to drive it this time. LOL

Over the last week I got new rotors/wheel bearings/calipaer/pads installed. I need to get the two rubber hoses and run the brake lines and add the master cylinder with booster (going back to power brakes) and then I just need to run fuel line and for the most part that is it except drivetrain. I really hope to have it cruising by winter.

I grew up in a really small town and believe me, this car was the talk of the town. Right before I graduated and headed off to bootcamp we put a basically stock 440 in it. The car ran low 13's and in 1987 that was ok. I really had considered redoing it just like it was, but the friend of mine who painted it wasn't sure he could pull that off and the quotes I got were $$$$$$$$$. My dad told me he paid 425.00 to have that car painted like that the late 70's early 80's (can't remeber for sure).

Ok thanks again guys.
