Gifted Gold Membership????

First off I am a firm believer in the pay it forward concept.
My question is if someone gifts you one and you don't want it, can you refuse it like any other gift you don't want.
Or can you pass it on to someone who might appreciate it.
W-w-w-what? You don't want it??
what (2017_10_11 10_04_54 UTC).png
Awwww, it doesn't hurt a bit and it helps support the site!
(Besides, I tried to ditch mine to a more deserving member before - they ain't having
none of that. :) )
Would you accept one from me, for example? :)

Yes, that situation occurred last year on both FBBO and FCBO. The intended recipient graciously declined the gift of gold and Joey contacted the anonymous donor to see what he wanted to do.

Honestly , while it's a nice gesture..
I would decline it.
Just would not have a use for any of the perks that come with it.
Now maybe if a free tee shirt was in the mix maybe.

Honestly, I don't either....but like I said, it helps support the site, too.

Ah....tee shirts....if only there WERE such a thing. They're so simple to set up
with any number of vendors, too, but....
Something I've asked for since I came here, pretty much. Joey gets fussy when the subject
is raised, so I leave it be. :)

Yeah, we will leave the T-shirt subject alone.

Oh I certainly want it AND im VERY GRATEFUL to my generous benefactor!!!!!!.....and I will definitely gift one to another member. The strange thing is that I was thinking about buying it anyway....spooky!

I did a pay it thing for a person behind me in the Mac's drive-thru - cuz someone ahead did it for me. I was only getting my morning java on the way to a client. My routine is to pull aside and transfer my coffee to my thermo mug. The older lady I had gifted, drives by me with with a steely stare...a suspicious deep frown on her puss...no smile, thumbs up, nada as she drives off. What was my thought? Why you old-ugly ******* bitch...lol.

hey Ron, i feel your pain.. i was raised to respect my elders but more and more i find that holding a door for some blue hair only gets me a blank stare and not even a thank you.. its like they dont appreciate it or maybe they expect it .. who knows

Lol, long story but an aunt who came back after being gone for years was the worst friggin bitch anyone would know. Lord as it worked out, wish she would a stayed gone. Hollywood couldn't have scripted a worse bitch. She was rancid; yelling at waitresses, tellers, people who got in her way at the grocery store, doctors, ya name it. I somehow got involved with helping her out (well mostly due to appeasing my mother as they had been close in their younger days), moving her *** from one place to another. She was mentally totaled (and well off thanks to marrying a rich guy who croaked). She hated her daughter, grandkids, and all of the family, except us at the time. Vile and hatful. I warned my mother she will come to despise us and we should have nothing to do with her. As it evolved I was correct, for some reason when she kicked da bucket, I wasn't upset about it at all...what gives me relief is knowing she despised me when she kicked off.
