Did the Good Guys here in Scottsdale this weekend. This year the event was limited to 2000 entries but still open to the public. 100 percent mask enforcement meaning masks on in your car, masks while walking even if socially distanced. Did the swap on Friday and Ivan say it was a challenge. It was in the mid 80s by noon. There were some that had face shields. I saw the mask nazis giving them a hard time but had to relent because the entry rules didn’t disallow face shields.

Not much in Mopar stuff with the exception of some early Hemi parts. But that’s ok because it kinda nice being able to do a swap meet.

Saturday I took the GTS. Had to wear a mask while driving to my parking spot. Had to wear a mask while sitting by your car even if nobody around. Cars were spaced 10 feet apart and yes they had a lot of mask nazis enforcing masks. Even witnessed a situation they told guy that was eating that he has to mask between bites. He called them on that and the event officials intervened. Lack of common sense.

Again kinda nice to attend a large event even though wearing a mask was a PIA. Lots of interesting conversations and nice people with a common interest. The yellow GTS seem to draw attention.

Oh, and no I didn’t take a lot of pictures. That would of involved a lot of walking wearing that damn mask, sorry.

Well at least its a event. Nice Challenger.
Everyone cancelled around here. its like the plague hit here.

It amazes me at how willing the general public has been and is to this entire deal. There was a time in this country where people would have thought it through and made a reasonable decision without the need to overlay their personal beliefs on everyone around them. This is a direct result of allowing the sheep to breed.. There will come a time when people will look back on this in amazement.

1. No car show, or 2. car show with minor inconvenience? Many of us didn't even get a choice, you lucky bastard!

Funny you say that, we were talking about that yesterday and how we’ll look back in 10 years and laugh it off.

yeah, we feel for you brother. Being lorded over by that idiot govenor has to suck. Glad I left Yakima for the Valley of the Sun.

At least you had a show to go to. If we can do ‘normal’ things and a mask is all that’s required right now I’ll take it. The face shields are great if some decides to throw grinding sparks your way. Other than that I’m not sure what the purpose is.

:bananadance: I like that "mask NAZI's"

good for you to get out & enjoy your car
& have some time 'with alike minded people'

Didn’t see much grinding going on at the event however there was a Chev guy changing out a fried rear wheel bearing.

My buddy Greg made the rounds taking pics. Here’s some of his

Yes the mask nazis. I talked to one of them for a while. Told me Scottsdale police were undercover and using this to gage what they were going to do with Barrett Jackson. they shut down an event a couple weeks ago because of poor mask use. 2 warnings then shut them down.

Great seeing you again out there John! Friday seemed to be a bit nicer on the swap meet front...Saturday was certainly the larger show car attendance. The mask I'll agree was a bit annoying. I think it would've made sense is social distancing wasn't possible but when I was sitting by my car by myself being forced to wear a mask I dunno that seemed a bit extreme...but...it was great to be able to see some cars. :)
