Hey gang,

New to the forums and brand new to Mopar. Grew up with a Chevelle, a couple Novas and a Corvette but when I turned 50 I decided I wanted to try something new. I searched around for quite a while and fell in love with a 66 Coronet 440. It came to Canada from the USA in 2010 but unfortunately I don't know the history prior to that. It is relatively stock except for the 1967 440 Magnum under the hood. I picked it up last week and so far I have backed it out of the trailer and into my garage and that is it :(. Looking forward to the end of winter if it ever gets here.

It is currently de-badged and I am now hunting for original emblems for it as the previous owner had different tastes than I do.

Looking forward to becoming part of the community and learning from all you "old pros"!

Here is a pic of the "midlife crisis mobile " as my daughter calls it.

Cheers!

Welcome. Tht is a sweet midlife crisis! Way better than a little red convertable corvette.

Welcome to FBBO! Nice Coronet, post more pictures.

Don't have many pics yet as it has been -25 Celsius here for weeks it seems. Here are a couple more. Not sure the forum rules on spamming the boards with pics so slap me if I get out of control.

No little red corvette convertible for me Eric ! I did get my "first" mid life crisis car in September last year. This is my DD and it is a blast to drive. I am sure I will have as much fun in the Coronet this summer though. Really glad I found this site as there is a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm here.

Welcome, beautiful ride.

Welcome to FBBO. Your Coronet looks just like the one my brother-in-law owned back in the 70s. Nice!!!!

hi and welcome to the site :headbang:

Welcome to FBBO 66...That is a sweet hot rod you have. Love the dog dish hubcaps! I'm in Newcastle, not too far from you....and yes ,we have to get rid of this white stuff on the ground!!!

Hi, and welcome from another Canadian. Great looking car, and extra points for bringing it out in the snow. :) Are those side markers stick on?

It was only in the snow long enough to get in the enclosed trailer for the trip home :) .

Yes those are stick on markers as well as dodge ram truck stickers. They we're put on by the previous owner to cover up the holes left from removing the original emblems..... I assume they were scooped for another project :( the ram stickers and reflectors are off the car now and I am gathering original emblems to put it back the way it should be.

I would kill kill for some BC weather in Ontario any time. Send some my way please :)

Mark
