Just got out to the garage to install my recently received restored steering column. As it normally goes with my luck, after asking him to check it twice to make sure it was the right one, it turns out the one sent was a manual steering column instead of power. Very annoying. Nicely done, but still wrong.
Anyone wanna weigh in on manual steering on the street? Was thinking about going manual anyway, and the only front end parts I haven't replaced are the power steering box and the power steering pump. What to do, what to do...

OhioMopar, if you drive a lot in town i imagine you wont like it at all. Id say if you can, put the power steering in it, much easier. Lots of guys if they want to keep it all original put up with it but there's nothing that beats power steering just my 2 cents.. I love your last post there lol. Good luck to ya. Ron

All my street cars are manual steering except for my superbee.
Its no problem at all. I personally like the feeling of manual over power steering.you get a better feel of the road.

I had a Dart with manual steering, crappy tires and didn't steer all that well. Never driven a big block with a manual box. Is there a big difference between skinny tires and wider ones?

I had a 67 318 Coronet with manual steering and brakes. It was actually pretty easy to drive and wasn't difficult to paralell park, even with one hand.
