Kinda sucks when you buy a ranch in the country with the nearest neighbor miles away and it winds up smack in the middle of an ugly housing development. Unless you're selling.

Ken Curtis was a real chameleon. He played some pretty suave character roles with a mouth full of pearly whites and a smooth character, and then there was Festus. It was sometimes hard to believe they were the same person. I still wonder how he was able to keep in character with that squinty eye, rough hewn, back woods persona of Festus.
