Silly question I suppose: If my car had no bows or headliner when aquired, how would I know if it is supposed to have 4 or 6 bows?

The roof frame will take both 6 or 4 bow setup. Most 71's and some 72's had 6 and 73-4 had 4 bows. It just depends on which headliner you buy.
