Hello All. I guess the only person that will be able to answer this will have to either have a 1967 GTX survivor car or is the lucky recipient of a 1 owner car. I need to know if the non AC car heater control slider knobs have chromed centers or silver Argent painted centers from the factory. Nobody really seems to know. and I have talked to all the so called experts in the business. Any help here please.

I sure dont know about premium editions like you say, but i know ive only seen actual chrome centers on '66 model year cars..... thats just me tho

They are all black on my 67 Satellite and Belvedere II. Haven't checked the parts book yet to see if GTX is different, but they are often the same as Satellite.

Original 67 GTX. Best I remember they are chrome in the center, but I'm unable to look right now to tell you for sure.

I would appreciate it if you can look real close to tell me for sure. I have someone telling me that for sure they were painted silver Argent on the 67’s. Chrome should be easy to tell. Whatever it was, mine wore off. But that’s what tells me that it might be paint. Looking forward to hearing from you.

After looking closely at my GTX'S and Satellites, they are painted and the GTX'S are a darker argent silver than the Satellites. This follows with other trim items between the 2 models.

you are the man! It took me a long time to find someone that could verify this. It also the;;s ,e that the repos on the market are all wrong. they are making them with chrome centers. to many, it may not make a difference, but to me, it does. When I am done with this restoration, this car will resemble a factory car.
