Hellcat orders cancelled!

"Their unfilled orders are being canceled by the factory -- though those customers will receive a voucher that will allow them to buy the more expensive 2016 at the 2015 price. The price increase has not yet been announced."

Sounds fair to me.

I'd be happy with that outcome hell you waited this long you might as well get the newer car for the same money.

It's a good thing mine is scheduled to be delivered today.......

(From SRT this morning):

"Your vehicle has been unloaded at the Ayers, MA distribution center. Best to contact dealer to see if they have received Delivery Advice from the shipper

SRT Customer Assistance Center"

Or is it?

(Form my dealer after forwarding the SRT email to him):

"I just opened our VIN Vision account and the dealer ETA now says Dealer ETA not available.
Can you e-mail and see what is happening.
This may mean nothing but it is different than I expected to see."

I work at an automotive logistics facility. Your car still needs to be received by the facility, entered into their system and then they will notify the dealer and trucking company. Should be no more than a day, two max.

Gee, some of the dealers are screwing over their customers. There's a real shocker.

It was unloaded from the train on Wednesday or Thursday and has been sitting in their yard since.

Then it's the trucking company/dealership not communicating.

Rail off-loads, at least at the facility I work, are electronically received as they are off-loaded. That information is sent to our office and dealerships notified that day (since off-loads are done first thing in the morning). The dealer is then responsible for truck dispatch to pick up orders. Copies of the trucking manifests are waiting for them at the security gate.

I've seen rail off-loads sit in our yard for a maximum of two weeks. The only reason for this is dealership overstock. Your vehicle is certainly not overstock.

To my dealer from me...

I sent an email to Jeff at SRT an hour & a half ago & no response. Is there a way for you to confirm with the distribution center?

Dealer response...

Unfortunately not with Ayer.
I was hoping your e-mail would get a response for us.
They use a different carrier and they will not supply us with their info. We tried last week with no success.
This is a union thing. At least that is what we are told.
Unfortunately this is not the 1st time we have had issues with this rail yard.

The facility I work at is also union (Teamsters, I happen to be a shop steward) and, unless there is a labor dispute between the trucking company/rail company and it's employees there is absolutely no reason for either the rail yard or trucking company to delay shipments. It's just not good business. This seems very strange to me. Dealerships, no matter which carrier they use, will receive information on which cars are available for delivery and when. I call BS.

Well, I just received this from SRT....

"latest update On Truck - Departed Facility - Ayer, MA"

The dealer still has received nothing, but hopefully I'll be a happy guy at the end of the day today.

You should go to the dealer. Be there when they unload the car and tell them not to do a PDI. That way you receive the car with the protective coverings still in place.

I just got a call from the dealer saying that it just arrived. While I won't be there to see it being unloaded, they are going to take a couple pictures for me. It's already been understood that they are not going to touch it until I look it over. I'm heading over shortly with wifey and junior. :blob1:

Pictures this evening.

I'm starting to get excited for you. Vicarious Hellcat receiving/reading is fun!

Can't wait to see the pics. Especially one with you behind the wheel with a big grin on your face. You've waited a long time... you deserve this!

Remember; Burnouts ! Enjoy it, you've waited long enough for it .

I honestly am excited hearing the play by play! Can't wait to get the lowdown and see the pictures. Thinking serious lately about placing an order, but don't want my wife and kids to think i'm being selfish. Got a 69 Charger and 69 Satellite and feel very blessed, but having a new screaming Hellcat!! Look forward to the pictures!
