Hello,
I am new to Mopars, with my first/only being a 1970 Satellite that I fell in love with a year ago from staring too long at Steve Strope's creation 'Hammer'. So, I bought a plane jane rustbucket original 318 car with 727. The last owner put a 383 HP engine in it, but I picked up a '72 400 block and plan on going the stroker route, as funds allow.
The car was originally from Texas, but by the water so even the tops of the rear quarters are rusted through (front end is great). So... I need to find full rear quarters ideally, that are apparently still in the 'tooling' stage. Anyone have one or both, let me know. Also looking for a '70 a833 that I will tear down and rebuild to 18 spline. However I have to build/pay for a new house for the family first (with a big garage for me to work in ;)), so funds are limited and originality isn't a factor for me.
Anyway, after many Chevy's I am finally stoked to be a Mopar guy (I also have a 271 fireball hemi and Desoto hemi for my '30 Model A Coupe project, which will be mid 50's period correct). Having trying to read as much as possible on Chrysler's history of performance cars lately, I am so impressed with Chryslers technology back then, and can't wait to get my big 'ol B body on the road with my two boys to annoy the neighbors.
Again, hello all. Looking forwad to spending time here!!!
Tobin.
