Thanks for providing a nice forum for B-Body fans. I had a Challenger way back in highschool, but been out of the Mopar world ever since. This Spring I've been shopping around for another one!

Looking forward to getting some advice from the Mopar musclecar gurus here. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions, especially when I line up a car here soon...

Welcome to FBBO... good to have you back, well almost anyway...LOL... Good luck with your search for a Car/Project... I would highly suggest to try to find something, that's near finished, someone needs the money or has bailed on the project or a car that has very little rust, like a West Coast/Southwest car, allot less rust issues to begin with, they may costs a little more to get it home or to buy, a car with allot less Rust, but you will be money ahead in the long run, not having to do so damn much Rust repairs & sheet-metal purchases, the shipping cost & initial purchase price, is cheap in comparison, to weeks or months in Rust repairs, shopping parts, paying shipping charges & buying floors, fenders & quarters etc., let alone all the damn hassle & down time from enjoying you car...

Welcome

Welcome to FBBO :tiphat: Glad you decided to join :beerchug: Keep us informed on your forth coming ride, Thanks :buffer:

Thanks for the warm welcomes Budnicks and everyone. That's some great advice. Actually I've been semi-seriously looking for a few years, but now that finances are all in order, I kicked it into high-gear and upped my budget. Also going for one that's mostly restored now.

I'm in the middle of haggling for one right now, so crossing fingers. Will post up details if it goes through. :)

I tried posting this question in the "Engines" tech section, but after hitting submit, it disappeared. Are new member under a trial period?

Sorry if this gets asked a lot. I tried going through many threads and searches first, including 440source.com & the casting page on MoParts.org.

What do you make of this 440 stamping? I see it's a '67 block. My paranoid side is wondering about how the "HP" looks all wonky (or do they sometimes look like that?), and what does the "2 4" stand for? I must not be using the right keywords on my searches, heh. Tia...

On the stamping remember they were hand stamped. So you'll see offset characters all the time. So I wouldn't worry to much about the P being offset ("wonky")

Welcome to FBBO you have had some very nice cars and I know we all look forward to your next find .. good luck and happy hunting

Found one last week! After a little haggling and research, offer accepted. Getting it inspected by a real pro racing outfit in Ohio. I'm stoked! Don't wanna jinx anything, so details will be forthcoming once she's home safe. ;)
