I am relatively new to Mopars. I started a Challenger project about a year and a half ago with my younger son during his senior year in high school. I began feeling that I really wanted to do a similar project with my older son, but our opportunity to do that together is gone. He will be graduating in December with a Mechanical Engineering degree from THE Ohio State University. He is there on a full ROTC scholarship from the US Army. In December 2021, he will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenantnt and will begin the 8-10 years obligation to the Army. I decided that I wanted to just buy him some type of muscle car as a graduation present. He had a VERY good friend in high school whose father had a lot of nice cars. All I heard from my son was how cool that other guy was and how cool his cars were. My takeaway was that when your kid is 17, everyone else's dad is cooler than their own. Sadly, his friend's dad died of a heart attack during their senior year of high school in 2017. Last winter, I contacted the man's widow and asked if any of his cars were left for sale. She said that she still had his Charger and that she would love for my son to own the car. We gave him the car right before Easter. The car is VERY nicely restored to original condition. There are a few little issues that I will be seeking help with.

Outstanding !

Welcome aboard from NJ. Glad to hear your families automotive enthusiasm and recent addition. This is the absolute best automotive site on the web and if someone here can't help you I would be surprised. Thank you for posting the picture and I am sure many of us would like to see more pictures. It's kind of like the cost of admission, lol. Best of luck in all ways!
