Thanks for the add! My dad still has his first car. 1966 Coronet 500. Purchased in June of 1970, right after he graduated high school. I came home from the hospital in it in 1973. They tell me I was just on my mom's lap, because you could do that back then. Anyway, Dad always had drag strip dreams for it. Those never came about. But after over thirty years of sitting, we got it restored. 440 Magnum built and dropped in in place of the original 383, but retained the 4 speed. Still a beautiful car, with a big family history. Too much sentimental value for us to ever consider selling. Dad and I took it to the Dream Cruise in Detroit a few years back, to make a dream come true for him. He grew up in the Detroit area, so that was fun to watch for me. It still needs a few odds and ends, but runs and drives great! Looking forward to some feedback from the pros on here.

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. That is a great story about a great car. Nice to hear it is still in the same family! But, you know we need to see pictures! I have a 1967 Coronet R/T.

Thanks fellas! Here’s pics!
