Hi everyone, and great to be in your BBody forum. I'm excited to be the proud owner of a 1967 GTX. My dad purchased the car new. I drove it for the first time in 1973, sitting on my dad's lap when i was 5 years old. I drove it again when I was 16 in a "Risky Business" setting. If you've seen the movie, you know what i'm talking about. Parents away on vacation and kid takes the hotrod out for a joy ride. 30 Yrs. Later it's finally mine. I've been in the retail auto business for 20 years and have had 40 or so cars, but nothing compares to this GTX that's been around my whole life. It has sat (inside) for the majority of the last 40 years and is ready for a fresh start. The car is all original with the exception of Montgomery Ward air conditioner my dad put in right after he bought it. It has approximately 98,000 original miles, the interior is all original and immaculate from sitting inside so long. It does start right up, but probably needs a good overhall. The body is straight and has never been wrecked ,but the bottom of the rear 1/4 's are rotting and around the gas filler is starting to rust. Other than some minor rotting and a repaint, this car is in very good shape considering and i'm extremly excited to get it back into shape.... need to find the right person/shop to do the work . Thanks and look forward to connecting with some of you.

Welcome! You have a time capsule, and a really great starting point! Having a one-family-owner car is very cool and unusual. I love the '66-'67 B-Bodies; mine is an all-original '67 R/T. Would love to see a shot of your VIN and data plates to see if our cars came from the same plant, and if so, how close they are together. You'll find a ton of great information here.

WOW!

Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the forum!

I'm currently putting together a 440 for a recently purchased 67 GTX that I picked up.
Those engine pics are a real help!

-Perhaps you could post some more Engine compartment pics for all of us to see for "Originality"?

Again, thanks for joining the forum!
