Hello Everyone, My name is Steve and a few months ago I decided to leave ford and convert into a Mopar guy. I bought a 1965 Plymouth satellite with a 4 speed. Saw the car and I just needed to have it.

I am having an issues with my trans that I hope someone can help with.

Scenario: I pull out of my driveway in first gear (obviously) with no issues, I come to a red light, I put the car in neutral, light goes green car goes into first I give it some gas and my gears grind while in first gear.

Why would this not be the case when I first start driving ? why does it do it 10-15 minutes into my drive? could my rods not be aligned ? is it my synchro's?

Welcome from the central coast of Cal. Start off with a shifter and clutch adjustment, go from there. Also make sure the shifter is secured good. Score yourself a factory service manual too. Not a Chilton/Clymers/Haynes etc.

Welcome to FBBO

maybe post the questions in the
Engines Trans & driveline forum section here
this is the welcome wagon
it's not really a Q&A tech section
for sharing a few photos & stories or background
to get to know each other
