Hello, this is Nick in Pittsboro, NC. I just picked up a '66 Plymouth Belvedere II last week and it's my first time with Mopars. I have owned and worked on some classic Mustangs and VWs, though.
The car is in nice, original shape and is totally stock. Still has the original 273 2-bbl in it with about 190,000 miles. My plan is to use it as a driver and keep it as original as I can with some safety and reliability upgrades. There is very little rust, just a little staining beginning on the quarters.
It runs and drives pretty well right now but needs a tune up, valve seals, and a little brake work. I'm going to switch to a dual reservoir master cylinder and am researching manual front disc brakes. I want to keep the 14" wheels for now so that makes it a bit tougher.
Regards,
Nick
