Just a quick hello and a little about me. I'm an avid mopar fan (just don't have the cash to afford any right now). In the past I've had a 68 road runner (my first car), 65 rally pack barracuda, 68 sport satellite, 66 charger, several dusters, a demon, a couple darts and one belvedere. Now I have 6 kids so its been a while. I'm looking (and always have been) for another 68 roadrunner, satellite or gtx. Mine was stolen when I was 19. Unfortunately it hadn't been tagged since 74 and we lost the title during a move.in Texas on one that old that hasn't been tagged they don't keep a record. 10 years after the fact I found the car in a junk yard missing the front clip and the roof. I knew it was mine as soon as I saw it but they had cut all of the numbers off. And the police told me the place had been raided as a chop shop in the past but since I couldn't prove it I was out of luck. I was younger then and lost my temper but all it got me was a night in jail. So anyway I've always missed that car and one day I will find one I can work a deal on.

The sight seems like a good one so ill keep an eye out and see what happens.

Welcome from another Texan. Texas is pretty big....what parts are y'all in?

We are 30 mi sw of Fort Worth . Be very cautious of a junk yard just out of lake worth on 199 ran by a guy named buddy or one near Reno on 199 called s&s. that's who stole mine. Found out later that it was the owners nephew named Alan that did it. Haven't ever found the guy or I'd be spending at least one more night in jail. The car was my dads and I was given it for my 16th bday.

Several years ago a buddy and I went out running all the back roads between 45 and 35 from Houston to nearly Dallas Ft Worth. Anyway, we found a 69 RR in one of the yards and it was nearly complete so we were going to come back up with a truck and trailer but when we got back, it was closed down because of stolen vehicles. What gives with these places lol

I guess they'd rather steel it than work for it. I consider myself a peaceful person but I can not and will not tolerate a thief! It bugs me on a regular basis about that car. I know it would make my dad have a huge smile to have me drive up in one. I am bidding on a satellite sport now but they usually go out of my reach. I almost traded my cabin cruiser for one the other day but someone offerd cash. Sooner or later I'll find one. I'd prefer a road runner. But I don't have anything against a clone either. I will never sell so it really doesn't matter.

How much are you willing to spend and what condition do you expect the car to be in Db? A 68 4 speed HT just sold here on FBBO for ~ $2.5K a couple weeks ago but it was a project. Another project sold for ~$8K ish recently too. Both solid though one more so than the other obviously.
