Hello,
My name is John - I am new here - looking for info, suggestions and help in completing my project, a 1968 GTX convertible.
My goal is to modernize it so in addition to being fast, it will handle & stop well.
Completed - tear down/stripped, sand blasted undercarriage, replace all rusted metal, body work paint, installed new front coil over, rear 4 link, built & installed engine & A-833 4 speed
Need to finish everything now .... so I feel overwhelmed...

Welcome from Alabama, nice 68 GTX. Sounds like you are well on the way.

I fully stripped the GTX when I sand blasted undercarriage - so now I have to re-install the interior, at this point nothing is in it ... :( ... all in my garage in boxes ... I am kind of lost on where to start - it has ben sitting for a few years now - but I need to just go get it done - I plan to start by installing the steering column.

I put the Alterktion coil over rack & pinion kit on the front, I cud down my steering column and welded the end back on, had to shorten it to fit the new rack & pinion -

so I have a lot of work to do ...

here is a picture of the engine compartment

@Woodydog Welcome from NJ! You got a good start on this. Just keep plugging away a little at a time and one day, you’ll be surprised to see that it’s done.
