Hey there everyone I just like to start off by saying that this is a great forum that you guys have put together. It's nice to have community like this that everyone can share their knowledge, and help point people in the right direction. I'm here to hope pic at some of your guys brains and find a way to get my bird back on the road.

My name is Matt and I'm from the Chicago burbs. Some history on me is that I bought this car when I was 18 years old and is my first car. I found it as a barn find with the "hillbilly facelift." The car ran but not well, and every week there something wrong that went on it. That winter I ended up taking it apart and it never got put back together, life got involved... work, school, moving out, girlfriends, bills, etc.. Now I am finally getting around to fixing her back up. Little by little over the past years I spent a couple buck here and a couple bucks there, but never had the time texting work on it. So now it is going under the knife again and hopefully will be fixed with the help of some you members.

Thanks
matt

View attachment 206008Motor as of rigth now. Tryin to see what path I should take for a decent street car. Nothing too wild but it needs to have some balls. Money like everything is an big part so I need to do some research.

Welcome from Maine! Pretty cool you were still able to hang onto the car while life got involved. Good job and good luck. This is a great place for all your answers!

Welcome from Springpatch - the capital of Illinois - the armpit of America!

That's really neat you still have the first car you bought - I don't even remember the first one I actually bought!

Lots of good people on here and tons of experience and advice combined - I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for on here.
